Presented is a fine Helen Keller signature with the original mailing envelope from 1929. Helen Keller was a deaf-blind author, political activist, and lecturer. She was the first deaf-blind person to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree from an American university. She was an inspiration to all and a symbol of strength and perseverance. Needless to say that autographs from deaf-blind persons are difficult to come by, this Helen Keller signature is a rare find. In researching this note we learned that Keller would write with the aid of a straight edge using it to guide the bottom of her letter-marks. A truly special piece, do not miss this item! (JSA)
