About this site

Crazy Uncle's Card Notes is a new, independent information site launched in October 2026. It explains graded trading cards — the PSA, SGC, CGC and Beckett grading scales, population reports, certification lookups — and how the auction market for classic cards works and publishes its results.

Not the former auction house

The crazyuncleauctions.com domain was previously used by a sports memorabilia auction business (Crazy Uncle Auctions / Uncle's Attic). This site is not connected to that business, its owners or its staff, and it is not affiliated with any grading company or auction house mentioned on these pages. Old lot and catalog addresses from the previous site do not lead to listings here; where an old lot concerned a well-known card, we wrote a fresh, sourced card file about that card instead.

Nothing for sale

There is no shop, no bidding, no consignment service, no appraisal service and no contact form. We do not buy or sell cards and we do not carry advertising or affiliate links.

How pages are written

  • Every fact, figure and date comes from a public page that we opened and read; each article lists those pages under “Sources”.
  • Grading definitions are taken from the grading companies' own published pages wherever they could be read, and from established reference or press sources where an official page was unavailable.
  • Population figures are dated snapshots from public pages (mostly PSA CardFacts). They change every week as cards are graded, and should be re-checked at the source.
  • Auction results are quoted as published by the auction house or press, including whether a price includes the buyer's premium when the source says so.
  • We write in a neutral editorial voice: no reviews, testimonials or first-hand claims.

Corrections to a figure are best checked against the linked source, which is always the authority over this site.
