Ascended Heroes is a Pokémon Trading Card Game expansion in the Mega Evolution Series, released on January 30, 2026 and inspired by the video game Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Its main set has 217 cards, and 78 more are numbered above it (218/217 to 295/217), for 295 cards in all; TCGplayer calls it the largest English Pokémon set ever. There is no booster box: packs come in collections, tins, Elite Trainer Boxes and bundles. - Two cards above $700. Mega Gengar ex #284 ($772.92 ungraded) and Pikachu ex #276 ($730.94) are well ahead of Mega Dragonite ex #290 ($455.50). In a PSA 10 the order changes: Pikachu ex #276 was at $1,687.00 and Mega Gengar ex #284 at $1,589.65.
- The gold cards grade up most. The Mega Hyper Rare Mega Charizard Y ex #294 is fifth raw at $276.50 but was the highest PSA 10 in the table at $1,900.00; the gold Mega Dragonite ex #295 went from $173.54 raw to $918.62 in a PSA 10. Both sell about once a day in a PSA 10, less often than the top Special Illustration Rares.
- Special Illustration Rares fill the table. Twelve of the fifteen cards are Special Illustration Rares; the Supporter versions trail, with Canari #291 at $25.41, Iris's Fighting Spirit #292 at $23.58 and Surfer #293 at $19.93 ungraded.
- The new Mega Attack Rares. The most valuable was Mega Gengar ex #269 at $39.83 ungraded and $169.31 in a PSA 10, followed by Mega Dragonite ex #271 at $33.99 ($110.00 PSA 10).
- Illustration Rares. Psyduck #226 ($49.54 raw, $202.59 PSA 10) is the only one in the top fifteen; Team Rocket's Mimikyu #238 was next at $20.12 ($112.00 PSA 10).
- Ultra Rares and Double Rares. No Ultra Rare reached $10 ungraded: Ultra Ball #264 was at $6.87 and Boss's Orders #256 at $5.87. The top Double Rare, Mega Charizard Y ex #022, was at $6.99 raw and $66.00 in a PSA 10.
- What is left out. Sealed products and special versions are not ranked, such as the stamped and Prize Pack versions of Rayquaza #153, Mega Charizard Y ex #022 and Mega Dragonite ex #152.
- Graded vs raw. Whether a PSA 10 price is worth chasing depends on the odds of getting one and on the fees; Is it worth grading? works through the method and PSA 9 vs PSA 10 covers what separates the two grades.
Pull rates
No official pull rates were found for Ascended Heroes. The figures below are estimates from published pack openings: they are per pack, not guarantees. Two estimates with a stated sample were found: TCGplayer's opening of more than 2,000 packs after the Elite Trainer Box release on February 20, 2026, and PokéZentrum's averages from about 4,000 packs compiled from various sources (a German site, writing about the German edition, Erhabene Helden). Other pull-rate pages found repeat TCGplayer's figures.
| Rarity | TCGplayer (Feb 24, 2026): more than 2,000 packs | PokéZentrum (Feb 26, 2026): about 4,000 packs, compiled |
|---|---|---|
| Double Rare | 20.37% ± 1.70% (1 in 5) | 1 in 5 |
| Ultra Rare | 4.81% ± 0.90% (1 in 21) | 1 in 19 |
| Mega Attack Rare | 3.47% ± 0.77% (1 in 29) | 1 in 31 |
| Illustration Rare | 11.25% ± 1.33% (1 in 9) | 1 in 8 |
| Special Illustration Rare | 1.44% ± 0.50% (1 in 70) | 1 in 75 |
| Mega Hyper Rare | 0.19% ± 0.18% (1 in 540) | 1 in 810 |
TCGplayer's Authentication Center found Double Rares, Ultra Rares and Mega Attack Rares in the Rare slot, and Illustration Rares and Special Illustration Rares in the second reverse holo slot. Assuming every card of a rarity is equally common, it puts the odds of a specific card at about 1 in 191 packs for a Double Rare, 1 in 202 for a Mega Attack Rare, 1 in 291 for an Ultra Rare, 1 in 293 for an Illustration Rare, 1 in 1,080 for a Mega Hyper Rare and 1 in 1,533 for a Special Illustration Rare; for Mega Gengar ex #284 it gives 0.07% per pack. PokéZentrum's specific-card figures are close: 1 in 195, 217, 266, 264, 1,620 and 1,650 packs respectively.
- Double Rare: 20.37% ± 1.70% of packs, about 1 in 5 packs.
- Ultra Rare: 4.81% ± 0.90% of packs, about 1 in 21 packs.
- Mega Attack Rare: 3.47% ± 0.77% of packs, about 1 in 29 packs.
- Illustration Rare: 11.25% ± 1.33% of packs, about 1 in 9 packs.
- Special Illustration Rare: 1.44% ± 0.50% of packs, about 1 in 70 packs.
- Mega Hyper Rare: 0.19% ± 0.18% of packs, about 1 in 540 packs.
Where the estimates differ
- Illustration Rares. PokéZentrum has 1 in 8 packs, TCGplayer 11.25% ± 1.33% (1 in 9). The other per-rarity figures are close: Ultra Rare 1 in 19 against 1 in 21, Mega Attack Rare 1 in 31 against 1 in 29, Special Illustration Rare 1 in 75 against 1 in 70.
- Mega Hyper Rares. TCGplayer's 0.19% ± 0.18% (1 in 540) is the least certain figure: its range runs from about 0.01% to 0.37% of packs. PokéZentrum's 1 in 810 falls inside it; PokéZentrum's own text says about every 800th pack.
- A mismatch in TCGplayer's article. Its summary table gives Ultra Rares at 4.81% (1 in 21), but the Ultra Rare section says “around 8%” and its sub-table 20.77% ± 0.90%. The 4.81% figure fits the 1 in 21 and the article's own explanation, so it is the one used here.
- Against earlier Mega Evolution sets. TCGplayer found rates per rarity comparable to Mega Evolution and Phantasmal Flames; the Mega Attack Rare takes the place of an Ultra Rare, so Ultra Rares fall to about 5% of packs from about 8%. Because the set is so large, the odds of any specific card are much lower.
- God packs. TCGplayer says posts on social media confirm a very small number of packs holding three Mega Attack Rares and seven Special Illustration Rares. It found none in its sample, and none of the rates above include them.

Checklist before you rely on a number here
- ☐ The price has a date: everything above is as of October 20, 2026, and prices move daily.
- ☐ You are comparing like with like: ungraded with ungraded, PSA 10 with PSA 10, and the right card number (Mega Dragonite ex is printed as #152, #271, #290 and #295; Pikachu ex as #057, #276 and #277).
- ☐ Stamped and Prize Pack versions are separate cards with their own prices.
- ☐ The PSA 10 price rests on regular sales (check the sales column; “1 sale per day” is thinner than “4 sales per day”).
- ☐ Pull rates are averages over many packs; a single Elite Trainer Box can land well above or below them.
- ☐ Before grading, check the card against the modern pre-grading checklist.
