Journey Together: chase cards, pull rates and most valuable cards

The chase cards of Scarlet & Violet—Journey Together, what each rarity tier means, sold prices as of October 18, 2026, and what the published pull-rate estimates found.

Journey Together is a Pokémon Trading Card Game expansion in the Scarlet & Violet Series, released on March 28, 2025. Its main set has 159 cards, and 31 more are numbered above it (160/159 to 190/159), for 190 cards in all. The set is built around Trainer's Pokémon: The Pokémon Company's set page leads with N's Zoroark ex, Iono's Bellibolt ex, Lillie's Clefairy ex and Hop's Zacian ex and counts more than 40 Trainer's Pokémon in the set. This page shows the cards collectors chase, ranks them by sold prices as of October 18, 2026, and compares the published pull-rate estimates. It is a reference, not buying advice.

The rarity tiers above the main set

Every card has a rarity. The 31 cards above the main set fall into four tiers; a fifth, Double Rare, sits inside the main set. Journey Together has no ACE SPEC cards; by TCGplayer's count it is the first set since Temporal Forces without them.

  • Lillie's Clefairy ex leads. The Special Illustration Rare #184 was at $82.88 ungraded, almost twice the next card, and at $295.00 it was also the highest PSA 10 in the table, selling about twice a day.
  • The PSA 10 order is different. Articuno #161, an Illustration Rare, is sixth raw at $20.00 but third in a PSA 10 ($195.68), and N's Reshiram #167 ($154.00) and Wailord #162 ($145.00) are also ahead of four of the six Special Illustration Rares in a PSA 10. Iono's Bellibolt ex #183 is fourth raw at $30.00 but was at $88.00 in a PSA 10.
  • The gold cards are not the top cards. The two gold Pokémon ex, N's Zoroark ex #189 and Iono's Bellibolt ex #188, were at about $13 ungraded and $85 in a PSA 10, on about one PSA 10 sale a week. The third Hyper Rare, Spiky Energy #190, was at $4.00 ungraded; its PSA 10 value of $59.99 rests on about one sale a year.
  • What is left out. Sealed products and stamped, Cosmos Holo, store and league versions are not ranked, such as Iris's Fighting Spirit [Ultra Ball League] #149 ($84.01 ungraded), Hop's Snorlax [EB Games] #117 ($64.99 ungraded, $430.38 PSA 10) and Tyranitar [Cosmos Holo] #95 ($612.50 PSA 10).
  • Graded vs raw. Whether a PSA 10 price is worth chasing depends on the odds of getting one and on the fees; Is it worth grading? works through the method and PSA 9 vs PSA 10 covers what separates the two grades.

Pull rates

No official pull rates were found for Journey Together. The figures below are estimates from published pack openings: they are per pack, not guarantees, and the samples range from 38 packs to more than 8,000.

TCGplayer's Authentication Center opened the packs before release. It also gives per-card odds, assuming every card of a rarity is equally common: about 1 in 79 packs for a specific Double Rare, 1 in 129 for a specific Illustration Rare, 1 in 168 for a specific Ultra Rare, 1 in 411 for a specific Hyper Rare and 1 in 518 (0.19%) for a specific Special Illustration Rare such as Lillie's Clefairy ex #184. Compared with Surging Sparks, its Double Rare rate rose from 16.94% to 20.29% and its Illustration Rare rate from 7.67% to 8.50%, both above the upper end of its confidence range for Surging Sparks, while its Special Illustration Rare rate (1.16% against 1.15%) did not change in any meaningful way. Because there are no ACE SPEC cards, TCGplayer puts the chance of any hit at roughly 16% per pack, against about 20% in the 2024 sets where it counted ACE SPECs as hits.

Where the estimates disagree

  • Special Illustration Rares. TCGplayer has 1 in 86 packs and TCGTalk about 1 in 100, from 5 hits in 500 packs. Destructoid's single hit in 38 packs is too small a sample to pin the rate down.
  • Hyper Rares. TCGplayer has 1 in 137 packs (± 0.18%), TCGTalk about 1 in 125 from 4 gold cards. Destructoid again found one in 38 packs.
  • Illustration Rares. TCGTalk's 48 hits in 500 packs (about 1 in 10) are more generous than TCGplayer's 1 in 12. Destructoid's stated 1 in 16 for two cards in 38 packs works out to about 1 in 19.
  • Double Rares are counted differently. TCGplayer counts only Double Rares; TCGTalk and Destructoid count ex cards together, so their higher figures are not directly comparable.

Checklist before you rely on a number here

  • ☐ The price has a date: everything above is as of October 18, 2026, and prices move daily.
  • ☐ You are comparing like with like: ungraded with ungraded, PSA 10 with PSA 10, and the right card number (N's Zoroark ex is printed as #175, #185 and #189; Lillie's Clefairy ex as #173 and #184).
  • ☐ The PSA 10 price rests on regular sales (check the sales column; “1 sale per week” is thin).
  • ☐ Pull rates are averages over many packs; a single box can land well above or below them.
  • ☐ Before grading, check the card against the modern pre-grading checklist.
