Prismatic Evolutions: chase cards, pull rates and most valuable cards

The chase cards of the Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet—Prismatic Evolutions expansion, what each rarity tier means, sold prices as of October 28, 2026, and what the published pack counts found.

Prismatic Evolutions is a Pokémon Trading Card Game expansion in the Scarlet & Violet Series, released on January 17, 2025. It is built around Eevee and its eight Evolutions, which appear as Stellar Tera Pokémon ex, next to a wider gathering of Pokémon ex from Paldea and other regions. Its main set has 131 cards, and 49 more are numbered above it (132/131 to 180/131), for 180 cards in all. Unlike most Scarlet & Violet sets it has no Illustration Rares: instead, every Common, Uncommon and Rare card also comes in a Poké Ball pattern foil, and every Pokémon among them in a rarer Master Ball pattern foil. This page shows the cards collectors chase, ranks them by sold prices as of October 28, 2026, and sets out what the published pack counts found. It is a reference, not buying advice.

The chase cards

The grid shows the Special Illustration Rares of Eevee ex and all eight Eeveelution ex, the two other Special Illustration Rares with the highest ungraded prices, and the Pikachu ex Hyper Rare, with prices as of October 28, 2026. Umbreon ex #161 is in a class of its own: at $955.00 ungraded it sold for nearly three times the next card, Sylveon ex #156, and in PSA 10 it was at $4,250.00. Each of the nine Eevee-line cards also exists as a regular Double Rare in the main set, from Leafeon ex (006) to Umbreon ex (060) and Eevee ex (075); those are far cheaper than their Special Illustration Rare versions.

The rarity tiers

The main set (001–131) holds 46 Common, 33 Uncommon and 21 Rare cards, 25 Double Rares and six ACE SPEC Rares. The 49 cards above it fall into three tiers.

On top of the numbered cards, each of the 100 Common, Uncommon and Rare cards also exists as a reverse holo with a Poké Ball foil pattern, and the 67 Pokémon among them also with a Master Ball foil pattern. These parallels are separate printings with their own prices and are not ranked below. Some of them sell well above most numbered cards: the Master Ball Umbreon #59 was at $57.50 ungraded and $443.31 in PSA 10, and the Master Ball Vaporeon #22 at $31.63 ungraded but $500.00 in PSA 10.

  • One card far ahead. Umbreon ex #161 ($955.00 raw, $4,250.00 in PSA 10, about three PSA 10 sales a day) is the set's headline card by a wide margin; Sylveon ex #156 followed at $346.81 raw and $1,077.64 in PSA 10.
  • The Eevee family fills the top ten. Nine of the ten most valuable cards are the Eevee-line Special Illustration Rares; the only other card among them is Roaring Moon ex #162 ($142.76). Jolteon ex #153 ($133.21) and Eevee ex #167 ($135.11) were the cheapest of the nine.
  • PSA 10 reorders the middle. By PSA 10 price, Espeon ex #155 ($872.50) and Vaporeon ex #149 ($780.00) rank above Leafeon ex #144 ($623.74), which is third by raw price, and Roaring Moon ex ($558.99) edges past Flareon ex ($558.18).
  • Hyper Rares trail. Pikachu ex #179 was the only Hyper Rare above $10 raw ($48.50; $305.50 in PSA 10). Terapagos ex #180 ($9.81), Teal Mask Ogerpon ex #177 ($8.82), Walking Wake ex #178 ($6.73) and Iron Leaves ex #176 ($5.99) sold for less than many Special Illustration Rares, with PSA 10 values between $76.27 and $87.00.
  • What is left out. Sealed products, Poké Ball and Master Ball pattern parallels, and Prize Pack, league or stamped versions are not ranked; a Prize Pack Umbreon ex #60, for example, is listed separately from the regular Double Rare. Check which version a listing shows.
  • Graded vs raw. Whether a PSA 10 price is worth chasing depends on the odds of getting one and on the fees; Is it worth grading? works through the method and PSA 9 vs PSA 10 covers what separates the two grades.

Pull rates

The Pokémon Company does not publish pull rates. The largest published opening with a stated sample and method is TCGplayer's, published on release day, January 17, 2025, and updated on January 27: the TCGplayer Authentication Center opened more than 1,200 booster packs and gives per-pack rates with 95% confidence ranges. A second tally of around 2,700 packs, compiled by a fan who is not named, was reported by Dot Esports (article last updated December 19, 2025); its data are not published and it gives no ranges, so it is shown only as a cross-check. Both are estimates, not guarantees.

Bars to scale on the percentage axis; the red bar marks Special Illustration Rares, where God and Demigod packs make the per-pack figure an average. Estimates from community counts, not official odds.

God packs, Master Balls and the limits of the counts

  • God packs and Demigod packs. Some packs hold more than one Special Illustration Rare. TCGplayer's January 27 update describes “Demigod” packs with any three Special Illustration Rares, and “God” packs with a Master Ball Eevee, the Special Illustration Rare Eevee ex and one of each Eeveelution Special Illustration Rare. It opened no God pack, suspects two Demigod packs in its sample, and could not say how often either appears. No count with a stated sample gives a God-pack rate, so none is given here.
  • Read 1 in 45 as an average. Because of those multi-hit packs, TCGplayer's Special Illustration Rare figure is the number of such cards per pack on average; the share of packs that contain at least one is probably lower. A specific one, such as Umbreon ex #161, works out at 0.07% per pack, about 1 in 1,440.
  • Better odds by rarity, worse by card. TCGplayer found the Double Rare, Ultra Rare and ACE SPEC rates in line with Temporal Forces and Surging Sparks, and Special Illustration Rares about twice as common as in the non-special 2024 sets (about 1 in 45 instead of 1 in 90). With 32 of them, though, each one is about as hard to find as Pikachu ex was in Surging Sparks, and after more than 1,200 packs a few Master Ball and Special Illustration Rare cards had still not turned up.
  • Master Balls are scarce card by card. A Master Ball foil turned up in about 1 in 20 packs, but spread over 67 cards a specific one works out near 1 in 1,362 packs, roughly the same as a specific Special Illustration Rare. The margin on that figure (± 0.15%) is larger than the rate itself (0.07%).
  • Where the hits sit. TCGplayer found Double Rares and Ultra Rares in the Rare slot, Poké Ball foils and ACE SPECs in the first Reverse Holo slot, and Master Ball foils, Special Illustration Rares and Hyper Rares in the second.
  • Where the counts disagree. The fan tally matches TCGplayer on Master Ball foils (1 in 19 vs 1 in 20) but finds Special Illustration Rares rarer (1 in 53 vs 1 in 45), ACE SPECs rarer (1 in 29 vs 1 in 21) and Hyper Rares more common (1 in 152 vs 1 in 180). TCGplayer's own Double Rare figure also differs between its summary table (16.51% ± 2.05%) and its Double Rare section (16.94% ± 0.79%); both round to 1 in 6.

Checklist before you rely on a number here

  • ☐ The price has a date: everything above is as of October 28, 2026, and prices move daily.
  • ☐ You are comparing like with like: ungraded with ungraded, PSA 10 with PSA 10, and the right card number (Umbreon ex is 060 as a Double Rare and 161 as a Special Illustration Rare; Pikachu ex is 028 and 179).
  • ☐ The card is the regular set version, not a Poké Ball or Master Ball pattern parallel, a Prize Pack card or a stamped or promo printing.
  • ☐ The PSA 10 price rests on regular sales (check the volume column).
  • ☐ Pull rates are per-pack estimates from community counts; God and Demigod packs make the Special Illustration Rare figure an average, and a single product can land well above or below it.
  • ☐ Before grading, check the card against the modern pre-grading checklist.
