- Five cards above $100 raw. The two Mega Hyper Rares and the Special Illustration Rares of Mega Lucario ex, Mega Gardevoir ex and Mega Venusaur ex were the only single cards above $100 ungraded; only Mega Lucario ex #188 was above $200. The next card, Mega Latias ex #181, was at $65.12.
- Gold leads in PSA 10. Raw, the gold Mega Gardevoir ex #187 and the Special Illustration Rare #178 were almost level ($155.66 and $154.82), but a PSA 10 of the gold card was listed at $542.50 against $271.25. Both gold cards sell about once a day in PSA 10, while the Special Illustration Rares of Lucario and Venusaur sell about five times a day.
- Illustration Rares. Vulpix, Ivysaur and Bulbasaur sold for about $19 raw; Bulbasaur #133 had the highest PSA 10 value in its tier at $96.75.
- What is left out. Sealed products and stamped or promo versions are not ranked. A stamped Bulbasaur #133 is a separate printing with its own prices (PSA 10 $644.99), so check which version a listing shows.
- Graded vs raw. Whether a PSA 10 price is worth chasing depends on the odds of getting one and on the fees; Is it worth grading? works through the method and PSA 9 vs PSA 10 covers what separates the two grades.
Pull rates
The Pokémon Company does not publish pull rates. The only large published opening found for this set is TCGplayer's: its Authentication Center opened more than 5,000 booster packs ahead of the September 26, 2025 release and published the results on September 30, 2025. The figures are per pack, with 95% confidence ranges, and they are estimates from one sample, not guarantees.
| Rarity | Any card of the rarity | About 1 in | A specific card | About 1 in |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Double Rare | 20.91% ± 1.12% | 5 packs | 2.09% ± 0.40% | 48 packs |
| Illustration Rare | 10.89% ± 0.86% | 9 packs | 0.50% ± 0.19% | 202 packs |
| Ultra Rare | 8.23% ± 0.76% | 12 packs | 0.37% ± 0.17% | 267 packs |
| Special Illustration Rare | 0.99% ± 0.27% | 101 packs | 0.10% ± 0.09% | 1,008 packs |
| Mega Hyper Rare | 0.08% ± 0.08% | 1,260 packs | 0.04% ± 0.05% | 2,520 packs |
- Double Rare: 20.91% ± 1.12% of packs, about 1 in 5 packs.
- Illustration Rare: 10.89% ± 0.86% of packs, about 1 in 9 packs.
- Ultra Rare: 8.23% ± 0.76% of packs, about 1 in 12 packs.
- Special Illustration Rare: 0.99% ± 0.27% of packs, about 1 in 101 packs.
- Mega Hyper Rare: 0.08% ± 0.08% of packs, about 1 in 1,260 packs.
What the study says, and its limits
- Where the hits sit. Double Rares and Ultra Rares turned up in the Rare slot; Illustration Rares and Special Illustration Rares in the second Reverse Holo slot. TCGplayer put the chance of a hit in any given pack at around 19%.
- The Mega Hyper Rares. At 1 in 1,260 packs, TCGplayer works out an average of about 35 booster boxes, just under six cases, per Mega Hyper Rare, and 1 in 2,520 packs for a specific one such as Mega Lucario ex #188. The margin of ± 0.08% is as large as the rate itself, so this figure rests on very few pulls.
- Against Destined Rivals. TCGplayer compared the set with the late Scarlet & Violet expansion Destined Rivals: Ultra Rares (8.23% against 6.39%) and Illustration Rares (10.89% against 8.29%) came up more often, while Double Rares and Special Illustration Rares (0.99% against 1.06%) were about the same.
- Per-card odds assume equal printing. The specific-card figures assume every card of a rarity is equally common; TCGplayer says the counts it found for each card fit within that assumption.
- No second study. Press reports such as Wargamer's of October 2, 2025, and later pull-rate guides repeat TCGplayer's 5,000-pack figures; no other opening with a stated sample size was found. For the later sets of the series, see Phantasmal Flames and Chaos Rising.
Checklist before you rely on a number here
- ☐ The price has a date: everything above is as of October 24, 2026, and prices move daily.
- ☐ You are comparing like with like: ungraded with ungraded, PSA 10 with PSA 10, and the right card number (Mega Lucario ex and Mega Gardevoir ex each exist in four rarities).
- ☐ The card is the regular set version, not a stamped or promo printing.
- ☐ The PSA 10 price rests on regular sales (check the volume column).
- ☐ Pull rates are averages from one study of a little over 5,000 packs; a single box can land well above or below them, and the Mega Hyper Rare figure is especially uncertain.
- ☐ Before grading, check the card against the modern pre-grading checklist.
