Stellar Crown: chase cards, pull rates and most valuable cards
The chase cards of the Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet—Stellar Crown expansion, what each rarity tier means, sold prices as of October 30, 2026, and what the published pack counts found.
Stellar Crown is a Pokémon Trading Card Game expansion in the Scarlet & Violet Series, released on September 13, 2024. The Legendary Pokémon Terapagos leads it, joined by Cinderace ex, Lapras ex and Galvantula ex as Stellar Tera Pokémon ex, while Hydrapple ex and Archaludon make their first TCG appearances. It is a small set: 142 cards in the main set and 33 numbered above it (143/142 to 175/142), 175 in all. The cards collectors chase most are not the Pokémon ex but two Illustration Rares, Squirtle and Bulbasaur. This page shows those cards, ranks the set by sold prices as of October 30, 2026, and sets out what the published pack counts found. It is a reference, not buying advice.

| Rarity | Card numbers | Cards | What it is |
|---|---|---|---|
| Double Rare | within 001–142 | 14 | Regular-version Pokémon ex, from Venusaur ex (001) to Terapagos ex (128), including Hydrapple ex, Lapras ex, Galvantula ex and Dachsbun ex. |

| 8 | Milcery #152 | Illustration Rare | $15.89 | $120.00 | 1 sale per week |
| 9 | Gulpin #154 | Illustration Rare | $12.04 | $110.00 | 1 sale per week |
| 10 | Briar #171 | Special Illustration Rare | $11.96 | $70.25 | 2 sales per month |
| 11 | Terapagos ex #173 | Hyper Rare | $11.73 | $59.67 | 2 sales per week |
| 12 | Zeraora #151 | Illustration Rare | $11.25 | $83.50 | 3 sales per week |
| 13 | Area Zero Underdepths #174 | Hyper Rare | $9.66 | $42.40 | 2 sales per month |
| 14 | Lileep #145 | Illustration Rare | $8.49 | $74.96 | 3 sales per week |
| 15 | Meditite #153 | Illustration Rare | $7.47 | $95.75 | 1 sale per week |
- Two basics on top. Squirtle #148 and Bulbasaur #143 are the only cards above $70 raw; no Pokémon ex in the set reaches that. Both sell about twice a day in PSA 10, more often than any other card in the table.
- Terapagos ex at three rarities. The headline Pokémon appears as a Double Rare #128 ($1.08 raw, $30.00 in PSA 10), a Special Illustration Rare #170 ($34.00, $150.00) and a gold Hyper Rare #173 ($11.73, $59.67).
- Illustration Rares jump the most when graded. Meditite #153 sold for $7.47 raw but $95.75 in PSA 10, nearly 13 times as much; Gulpin #154 ($12.04 to $110.00), Lileep #145 ($8.49 to $74.96) and Milcery #152 ($15.89 to $120.00) show the same pattern.
- Trainer Special Illustration Rares trail. Briar #171 ($11.96) is the cheapest Special Illustration Rare, and its PSA 10 sells only about twice a month; Lacey #172 ($19.67) sits just above Galvantula ex #168 ($18.34).
- What is left out. Sealed products and Prize Pack, stamped, jumbo, store-exclusive or league versions are not ranked. A Premier Ball League Judge version of Fan Rotom #118, for example, is listed separately at $908.66 raw, far above any regular card in the set. Check which version a listing shows.
- Graded vs raw. Whether a PSA 10 price is worth chasing depends on the odds of getting one and on the fees; Is it worth grading? works through the method and PSA 9 vs PSA 10 covers what separates the two grades.
Pull rates
The Pokémon Company does not publish pull rates. The largest published count is TCGplayer's: before the September 13, 2024 release, the TCGplayer Authentication Center opened more than 8,000 booster packs, and its article (updated February 27, 2025) gives per-pack rates with 95% confidence ranges. A much smaller tally of 500 packs from several booster boxes and Elite Trainer Boxes, published by TCGTalk in 2025 with no exact date, no named opener and several misspelled card names, is shown only as a cross-check. Both are estimates, not guarantees.
| Rarity | TCGplayer, any card | TCGplayer, a specific card | TCGTalk, 500 packs |
|---|---|---|---|
| Double Rare | 16.90% ± 0.79% (1 in 6) | 1.21% (1 in 83) | 82 ex cards, ~16% (1 in 6) |
| Ultra Rare | 6.75% ± 0.53% (1 in 15) | 0.61% (1 in 163) | 19 full-art Pokémon + 13 full-art Trainers |
| ACE SPEC Rare | 4.94% ± 0.46% (1 in 20) | 1.65% (1 in 60) | 26, ~5.2% (1 in 19) |
| Illustration Rare | 7.79% ± 0.57% (1 in 13) | 0.60% (1 in 167) | 37, ~7.4% (1 in 13) |
| Special Illustration Rare | 1.11% ± 0.22% (1 in 90) | 0.19% (1 in 540) | 5, ~1% (1 in 100) |
| Hyper Rare | 0.73% ± 0.18% (1 in 137) | 0.24% (1 in 411) | 2 gold cards, ~0.4% (1 in 250) |
- Double Rare: 16.90% ± 0.79% of packs, about 1 in 6; TCGTalk counted 82 ex cards in 500 packs (~16%).
- Ultra Rare: 6.75% ± 0.53% of packs, about 1 in 15; TCGTalk splits these into full-art Pokémon (19) and full-art Trainers (13), so no single marker is drawn.
- ACE SPEC Rare: 4.94% ± 0.46% of packs, about 1 in 20; TCGTalk 26 cards, ~5.2%.
- Illustration Rare: 7.79% ± 0.57% of packs, about 1 in 13; TCGTalk 37 cards, ~7.4%.
- Special Illustration Rare: 1.11% ± 0.22% of packs, about 1 in 90; TCGTalk 5 cards, ~1 in 100.
- Hyper Rare: 0.73% ± 0.18% of packs, about 1 in 137; TCGTalk 2 gold cards, ~1 in 250.
What the counts say, and where they differ
- Where the hits sit. TCGplayer found Double Rares and Ultra Rares in the Rare slot, ACE SPECs in the first Reverse Holo slot, and Illustration Rares, Special Illustration Rares and Hyper Rares in the second.
- Same odds by rarity, better odds by card. TCGplayer found each rarity as common as in Temporal Forces and Twilight Masquerade, within its confidence ranges. With only 33 cards above the main set, a specific card is easier to find: it puts Special Illustration Rare Terapagos ex at almost twice as easy to pull as Special Illustration Rare Greninja ex in Twilight Masquerade, which shares its tier with ten other cards.
- A possible short print. TCGplayer found so few Double Rare Dachsbun ex (#067) that its rate, 0.76% ± 0.18% per pack, does not overlap the average of the other Double Rares (1.21% for a specific card). It says this could be a statistical anomaly or a distribution error, but suggests the card is short printed.
- Where the counts disagree. TCGTalk's 500 packs gave a lower Special Illustration Rare rate (5 cards, about 1 in 100, against TCGplayer's 1 in 90) and a much lower gold-card rate (2 cards, about 1 in 250, against 1 in 137). With so few hits, one or two cards move those figures a lot; TCGplayer's own range for Hyper Rares is 0.55% to 0.91%. TCGTalk found no Lacey or Briar Special Illustration Rare in its packs and reads that as a sign Trainer SIRs are scarcer, though it also says its tally should not be treated as a definitive statistical sample.
- Per-card figures are averages. TCGplayer's specific-card odds assume every card of a rarity is equally common; it says the cards it found fit within that range, with the Dachsbun ex Double Rare as the exception above.
- Per pack, not per box. All figures are per booster pack. A single box or Elite Trainer Box can land well above or below them.
Checklist before you rely on a number here
- ☐ The price has a date: everything above is as of October 30, 2026, and prices move daily.
- ☐ You are comparing like with like: ungraded with ungraded, PSA 10 with PSA 10, and the right card number (Terapagos ex is 128, 170 and 173; Dachsbun ex is 067, 160 and 169).
- ☐ The card is the regular set version, not a Prize Pack, stamped, jumbo, store or league printing.
- ☐ The PSA 10 price rests on regular sales (check the sales column; “2 sales per month” is much thinner than “2 sales per day”).
- ☐ Pull rates are per-pack estimates from community counts, not official odds; specific-card figures assume equal numbers of each card in a rarity.
- ☐ Before grading, check the card against the modern pre-grading checklist.
